The show should have come out for streaming services on April 10th. But it seems that there is a delay? Currently, the two episodes are only watchable on Japanese television.

Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha: Shijou Saikyou no Maou no Shiso, Tensei Shite Shison-tachi no Gakkou e Kayou II (2024) started. So far it's labeled Episode 1 of Season 2 and sometimes as Episode 13, just counting on. Till here all OK. But could someone tell me more why somewhere (also here) is called "The second cour of the second season"? Did I miss something? Like a movie, specials or what? I know I'm a pain in the neck, I know it better since I have to face myself every morning in the mirror :D still would be nice to discover I missed something :D thx
Because it is exactly that: The second cour.
The second season was supposed to have 24 episodes. Then it got split into two cours like they do with A LOT of anime recently because they found out they can't manage quality or anything at all if they throw out episodes for 24 weeks straight.
They had MANY production issues with the first cour and a shit load of delays. The first cour needed 8 months until 12 episodes were out. And after that, they took a knife, cut the second season in half and took their time to do better this time.
So those episodes coming out now are the other 12 episodes of the second season. The other half. The second cour (a cour is 3 months, so: the other [hopefully not a billion years long] 3 months of the second season).
How can there be "the other 12 episodes of the second season" when the second season just started?

No, the second cour/part of the season started; not the season itself
Most of the times animes release in weather seasons and its around 3 months/12 episodes.. However anime seasons tend to have the same plot as to make it easier to distinguish between arcs
New anime are splitting the seasons in 2 (or more) parts to make it easier to animate, yet they are technically the same season as they all have the same plot
What was released in Jan 2023 (and got extremely delayed) was the part 1, and what is now being released is the season 2

That depends if the website you use to track uses eastern or western naming scheme.. Eastern websites (AniDB, MAL, Anilist) will divide cours as they air in different weather seasons (Season 2 Part 1 on Jan 2023 and Season 2 Part 2 airing rn)
Western websites however will stick to seasons (Episode 1 Season 2 Cour 2 = Episode 13 Season 2)
Damn damn damn damn I'm such an idiot! Guys, sorry for dragging you in this.... only after the third check I realized I missed one cour so nothing was adding correctly.... On the other hand it makes me happy since I have some episodes to watch :D

Wish Viki was on here, but then again they haven't added shit in terms of new animation shows or episodes. Hope A Will Eternal gets the hostage arc animated. That show sucked me in hard lol
