Mirai Asahina, a very curious 13-year-old girl with a love for mysterious things, met a young witch named Liko during spring break. Led by miracles and magic, Mirai and Liko both transformed into the Legendary Witch "Precures"! Working together with Mirai's treasured teddy bear Mofurun and Ha-chan, a fairy born from the "Linkle Smartbook", they tried to repel the chaos that was encroaching upon the "Magic World" and "Magicless World (Human World)". However, that involved the separation of everyone.

After being miraculously reunited a few years later, Mirai and the others begin to take steps towards their futures in their respective worlds. Mirai is a college student in the Magicless World. Liko, who returned to the Magic World, is a teacher at the Magic School. Mofurun, as always, is at Mirai's side. Ha-chan exists far away, watching over the world.

However, a new disaster threatening the Magic and Magicless worlds has appeared...
Due to signs of the coming disaster, Mirai and Liko reunite for the first time in months. While attempting to resist this mysterious enemy, they both come face to face with not only their past, but their future. With the magical words "Cure Up RaPaPa!", their exciting tale is once again set into motion!

Amu meets a super-peppy transfer student at Seiyo Academy Elementary School named Hiiragi Rikka at school one day. Not only can she see Guardian Characters, but it seems she has some other, mysterious powers as well. When she sees the work that Amu and the other Guardians do at school, she's awestruck.

Each 24-25 minute episode consists of a series of variety show style shorts (including Shugo Chara! Pucchi Puchi) totaling approx. 9-10 minutes, followed by the main 11-12 minute animation titled Shugo Chara!!! Dokki Doki which is the actual continuation of season 2 and comes with it's own opening animation. The remaining time is occupied by live action padding between each section and capped off with the opening/ending themes at the beginning and end of the episode.

The sky is the limit in Houkago no Pleiades. With telescope in hand, Subaru is set to go to the observation room of her school in order to get a view of that night's meteor shower. What she least expects is that behind the observatory door was not the starry skies, but a lavish garden, complete with a resplendent fountain and a mysterious young boy with long red hair.

But the garden soon disappeared, as if Subaru was only imagining things. All that remains of that brilliant sight is an odd, bouncing blob creature that leads her to another magical door, occupied by other girls in magical witch-like costumes. Revelations start hitting Subaru one after the other: one of the girls in the room is her childhood friend Aoi, the little blob is actually an alien of a species called the Pleiadians trying to return home, and Subaru has been selected by him to become the newest member of their group!

Now Subaru's dreams of the stars have come true in the wildest way, as she and her friends attempt to gather pieces of the Pleiadian spacecraft engine to return the being to his home. But they're not the only ones after the engine parts, and they have no idea why!

Soon after Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu return to Tokyo, the three of them meet at Tokyo Tower to talk. Hikaru says that she wishes they could return to Cephiro and do something good for the land that Princess Emeraude protected so dearly. Umi and Fuu agree. Suddenly, a light appears in the sky and they are transported to Cephiro. Clef explains to them that with no Pillar to keep Cephiro peaceful, it has fallen into chaos.

Monsters are multiplying and the land is becoming desolate. All the remaining inhabitants of Cephiro have moved into a magical castle. Clef also tells the girls some alarming news; three other countries, Chizeta, Fahren, and Autozam are trying to invade Cephiro and take over the Pillar system for their own purposes. The girls must stop the invaders as well as the mysterious and evil Lady Debonair, who believes she is the rightful Pillar, all the while desperately hoping and searching for a new Pillar to make Cephiro into the beautiful land it once was.
