I guess Saturday is my favourit day this season. 5 great shows in a row!!
Which ones? My Saturday is empty.
I have to put the Pokémon Horizons anime (fan translation hits up then) and Shadowverse aside, since they are kids' shows, and some love to hate on that. But to say the least, the new Pokémon Anime is hella fun und Shadowverse is a pretty solid card game anime with super pretty card designs, and it is fun as well. Both very enjoyable.
So those aside Karasu wa Aruji had a very interesting start. It's very reminiscent of The Apothecary Diaries in terms of the royal court. In addition, political matters seem to be moving further to the fore. In addition, the fantasy setting around people who can transform into ravens, although only one of them seems to have a true, special lineage, is very interesting.
Then there's Kaijuu No. 8. In my opinion, the first episode was pretty fun and offers a lot of potential for the story. The main character isn't overly annoying and the slight mystery aspect is charming. ----> Need more space.
The animations are good, the action isn't lacking, and there's a bit of something to smile about too. If done right, the anime could become pretty good in the next 11 episodes.
Last is Whisper Me a Lovesong. I think it's mostly the animation here that's nice to look at. It carries the anime straight to goal if they manage to keep it that high. Apart from that, the anime is simply a wonderful portion of sugar rush, which already suggests in the first episode it will go deep into the heart in some corners. If they adapt the manga properly, it could be a kind of "Dangers in My Heart" Yuri-edition, with two really great girls.
So yeah, for me, 5 great works on a Saturday. Will it stay this way? I don't know. But a girl is allowed to hope. I mean, for me, finding 9 shows in total in a season I don't wanna burn after the first episode is already pretty rare.
Maybe one of those is up your alley.
I've read the Kaiju No. 8 manga so it's not too high on my watch list.
Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai's political aspect might interest me though, so I might check it out after a few more episodes come out. Thanks for telling me about the politics, I don't think I would've considered it otherwise.
I'm not too interested in the other anime, but I do appreciate your thoughts on them. Cheers
Happy I could help at least a little!
Funny how I asked myself "how many shows I'm following this season?" today and thought it was like 10-15 but it ended up being almost 30. And even so there is only one on tuesday that I'm not even finding that good (Tuesday is backlog rush day).
But yeah I'm not really finding it easy to choose a "best day" (besides tuesday having nothing) for me, every day has 1-2 that I'm enjoying and then some that I'm checking out with varying levels of enthusiasm.
Normally I'm watching around 25 anime each season, so I feel you there, but there is just so much stuff in each season I don't enjoy ... So this time I'm watching like ... 11? and so far I have been pretty lucky, aside from one show I don't know if I like, and one show that is extremely medicore in my eyes (but hey, episode three could get interesting there).
Saturday is the only day in this season for me where I have 6 shows to watch and I like 5 of them very well. So for me, it was super easy.
You said you have only one show on Tuesday? Is it Unnamed Memory?
Yeah its Unnamed Memory. I'm ok with the premise but first episode was pretty weak.
I could definitely narrow down my current season watch list to 10-15 and increase my average enjoyment. I've just got into a habit of watching way too much seasonal stuff haha.
Haha, feel you there. Took me everything I had to not do that this season. And hey, once you break that habit, its so freeing! And you have less bad shows to watch.
Ah yeah, the animation of the episode was nice but other than that ... it was somewhat boring. Hope it gets better in the following episodes.
Rinkai's missing from the list. Should be on after Unnamed Memory.
It's there. Maybe you hid it by accident?
Now Mondays are my most anticipated days. kkkk
how to bring back columns view? I do not see it in settings and it is now unusable, looks like for smartphones on PC
Also there is a Chinese animation that comes out every Sunday/Monday called The Richest Man in the Game
It's literally there on Saturday, called Kui Cheng Shoufu Cong Youxi Kaishi.
Which filter do I have to turn on to see it, cause I set my filter to allow Chinese animation, also you say it's here for Saturday, I found the show on this website search and it said Friday, but my website releases them Sunday at midnight EDT
Search "Losing Money to Be a Tycoon" Episodes drop on Fridays, but Chinese animations aren't very popular so they usually take a day or 2 to get translated.
