At a shopping mall, he meets Smile, a beautiful girl in a mask. Cherry has trouble speaking in anything but haikus, and Smile wears a mask to hide her big, braces-covered front teeth. The two of them get closer as the south wind blows. One day, the two of them learn from Old Man Fujiyama, a master of Haiku who’s started going senile, that he’s searching for a certain record.

“If I can hear this record again, I can remember… Something I don’t want to forget, but can’t remember…”

Cherry and Smile decide to help. This is the story of their summer, set in a shopping mall…

An anime based on CAPCOM's legendary Sengoku period game: ONIMUSHA. The adaptation will have famed director Takashi Miike as the chief director of the series at animation studio Sublimation, while Shinya Sugai is directing the series. The anime will use the late prolific actor Toshiro Mifune as a model for the character Miyamoto Musashi.

The beginning of the Edo Period, Musashi is no longer a young man. He departs with the legendary Oni Gauntlet to defeat the Genma.

In an alternate world, the Japanese corporation Flesh Inc. has managed to create zombies on domestic soil during the roaring Sixties (the years of the economic boom) using voodoo techniques imported from Africa, and it has built a fortune thereafter by selling zombie products of all kind: instant noodles, soft drinks, hamburgers, pet food, and cosmetics.

But when a trio of self-centered millennials on their first workday get trapped inside a fully automated zombie farm with their old-school technotard supervisor and a horde of undead running amok, overcoming generation gaps becomes a matter of survival.
