Stories have been told of a legendary craftsman during the Edo-era, by the name of Jingoro Hidari. Today, sculptures accredited to Jingoro can be found throughout Japan, but his very existence is yet to be confirmed. Having lost his foster parent and right arm to the betrayal of his senior apprentices, Jingoro is on a journey of revenge with a mechanical prosthetic arm and his sidekick, “Sleeping Cat.” People soon came to call him Jingoro “Hidari” because of his ability to artfully use his carpentry tools with only his left arm (“hidari” means “left” in Japanese). Finally, Jingoro faces one of his adversaries “Inumaru” and the curtains rise on a fight to the death.

Norman and the boy decide to go on an adventure to see the stars filling the sky as shooting stars will reach the town soon. What they don’t know is it will get too cloudy to see anything up there. It’s about their small and yet heartwarming journey.

As the first snow falls on a town in the northern country, a boy sneaks out of his house to board a northbound train with his friend “Norman the Snowman.” They are off to witness the beautiful wonders of nature that Norman had always talked about.

A little covetous breeze makes a pretty melody blowing in the wind. The story of a mysterious journey of tiny creatures intertwine through the hommono wilderness.

This is my report about a mysterious creature that "Watashi" found the year when normal came to a stop all around the globe. All over the world, people were forced to stay at home in the spring of the year, "Watashi" decided to stop commuting to the city and "Watashi" stayed home every day. One day, "Watashi" discovered mysterious traces in my garden.

"Watashi" set up a camera to find out what it might be. My camera captured a dwarf about 15 cm tall. "Watashi" named it "Pukkulapottas" and become absorbed in searching for it. However, as the world gradually returned to normal. Pukkulapottas disappears from my sight. "Watashi" could no longer see Pukkulapottas Is what we see, all there is to truth? Through my experience with Pukkulapottas, "Watashi" wondered.

A video work inspired by the "meaning, form and origin" of kanji, reinterpreted and archived using the technique of stop-motion animation. A project that began with the realization that it is the "likeness" drawn out by the imagination that is the essence of kanji.
