It would not be normal to NOT have a lump in your throat by that kind of depression that this anime deals out.
Hey Chrollo, this season is looking pretty stacked besides mondays and tuesdays. a bit refreshing since the last one was kinda mid.
On takopii yeah they did a pretty good job on elevating the depressive/drama feel of the start to mid of the story. Let's see how they do the mid to end because I remember not enjoying it as much when I read it. Kind of the same situation with the amnesia family story from the same author

As far as I remember the ending was kinda rushed. But people are good things since they seem to take a little more time with the anime and its scenes. So hopefully the last 3 episodes will make it ... way better than it already is.
Regarding the season, I wouldn't say the last season was "mid". It was an okay season with some nice stuff in it. Just like this one. Really. Tuesday here is empty for me, and Monday ... I just got an anime from last season going on there. Fridays and Saturdays, however, are super full for me x.x
You are right, I think it was just some kind of bias on last season, I went back and looked at the shows as scores and it wasn't particularly worse than winter for example. I have some friends that only watch battle shounens that were starved for content last season so hearing them complain might have muddied my view since I wasn't really impressed/surprised by anything besides apocalypse hotel and really disappointed with lazarus.
Ah, well, hardcore battle shounen fans call every season with not that many battle shounen "mid". Same as they call every show that isn't a battle shounen "mid". Which is ridiculous.
Spring really had some fun shows like Apocalypse Hotel, Rock is a Lady's Modesty, Wind Breaker's second season, some went crazy over Fire Force, some were utterly happy with Old Country Bumpkin, Kowloon Generic Romance was damn great - and more. Yeah, of course there were some shows that didn't do well (personally I'm still salty about Your Forma), but we have that shows every season. So that's just a very normal season.

Yes but it is not for international release, this is the time for the first available subs which is for Netflix Asia, so depending on your location you may need a VPN to watch it.
